Quality rating and improvement systems (QRIS) development and implementation is part of a larger conversation around what defines quality for early childhood programs and what the essential building blocks are for a well-financed, high-quality early care and education system. The NAEYC QRIS Initiative began in 2005 with the goal of producing reliable and relevant materials for NAEYC affiliates and the general public to increase knowledge about QRIS development and implementation. As part of NAEYC's QRIS Initiative, we have compiled resources from NAEYC, the states, and other organizations that we will continue to update.
For more information on NAEYC’s QRIS Initiative, or QRIS in general, please contact Kayleigh Rogers-Torres, Public Policy Associate at krogerstorres@naeyc.org.
