Accreditation Timelines

Print Bookmark and Share

Every program moves through the four-step NAEYC Accreditation process on a different timeline, depending on the program's current accreditation status and the amount of time needed to successfully complete the tasks associated with each of the four steps.  To determine your program's accreditation timeline, see below.

Submission Dates for Currently Accredited Programs

  • To avoid a lapse in accreditation status, a program must pursue reaccreditation according to submission deadlines published in the timeline for currently accredited programs.
  • Currently accredited programs that are willing to experience a lapse in their NAEYC Accreditation may pursue reaccreditation following the general submission dates.

Submission Dates for Programs that are Not Currently Accredited

  • Programs that are not currently accredited may pursue initial accreditation following the general submission dates.
